  • 1 and 1/3 cups orange juice Freshly squeezed preferred
  • 2 containers vanilla bean yogurt Can substitute with non-dairy yogurt for a dairy-free version
  • 1 tablespoon honey Adjust based on sweetness preference
  • 1/3 cup additional orange juice (optional) For a smoother texture
  • 1 splash vodka or rum (optional) For adult versions

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Pour one and one-third cups of fresh orange juice into an ice cube tray and freeze for at least three hours.

Blending

  • Once the juice cubes are frozen, blend them with the remaining orange juice, vanilla bean yogurt, and honey until smooth.

Taste Testing

  • Taste the mixture and adjust the sweetness with more honey if needed. Add a splash of vodka or rum for an adult version, if desired.

Serving

  • Pour the slushy into cold glasses and serve immediately.

Notes

For added fun, serve with whipped cream and a sprinkle of zest. Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the freezer, but note that texture may change upon reheating.
