Ingredients
  

Dough and Toppings

  • 24 pieces Frozen Dinner Roll Dough Main ingredient providing a soft texture.
  • 1 large Large Egg For egg wash before baking.
  • 2 tablespoons Sesame Seeds Optional topping for flavor and appearance.

Filling

  • 1 pound Ground Beef Heart of the dish for a satisfying bite.
  • 24 cubes Block American Cheese To create a melty filling.
  • 1 cup Dill Pickles, chopped Adds crunch and tang.
  • 1 medium White Onion, grated Enhances flavors of the filling.
  • 1 teaspoon Onion Powder Adds depth of flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Salt Additional seasoning.
  • 1 teaspoon Table Salt Essential for flavor.
  • 1/2 teaspoon Black Pepper Enhances the overall taste.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Thaw the dough by placing the frozen rolls on the counter for about 30 minutes.
  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, grated white onion, onion powder, chopped pickles, garlic salt, and salt and black pepper. Mix until well integrated.
  • Divide the beef mixture into 24 equal pieces and form them into small balls.
  • Cube the American cheese into 24 small cubes.

Assembly

  • Flatten each meatball slightly and place a cheese cube in the center. Wrap the meat around the cheese and seal well.
  • Flatten each thawed piece of dinner roll dough and place a meatball in the center. Pinch the edges together to securely close.
  • Position the filled dough balls seam side down on the baking sheet.

Baking

  • Beat the egg and brush it over the top of each dough bomb. Sprinkle with sesame seeds.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 18-20 minutes until golden brown.
  • Allow to cool slightly before serving.

Serving

  • Serve with your favorite dipping sauces.

Notes

To lighten the recipe, consider using ground turkey or chicken, dairy-free cheese, or whole wheat dough. Avoid overbaking to keep them moist.
