  • 1 cup Shredded Cheese Choose your favorite cheese.
  • 1/2 cup All-Purpose Flour Adjust amount as needed.
  • 2 large Eggs Vital for binding.
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Onion Powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt Adjust to taste.
  • 1/4 teaspoon Black Pepper Adjust to taste.
  • 1/4 cup Green Onions, chopped For extra flavor.
  • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil For cooking.

Preparation

  • Chop the fresh broccoli florets into small, manageable pieces. If you want a softer texture, steam them for about 2-3 minutes, then pat them dry.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine broccoli, shredded cheese, flour, eggs, and seasoning. Mix until everything is coated.
  • Scoop out about 2 tablespoons of the mixture and form them into 2-3 inch patties.

Cooking

  • Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Ensure it's hot before adding the fritters.
  • Cook each fritter for about 3-4 minutes on each side, flipping when golden brown.
  • Transfer cooked fritters to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.

Serving

  • Serve warm with your favorite dip or sauce.

Notes

These fritters freeze beautifully! Store in an airtight container with parchment paper between them.
