Description

A tantalizing fusion of savory beef, creamy cheese, and spicy jalapeños that takes the classic cheeseburger to the next level.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 burger buns
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 slices cheddar cheese
  • 46 jalapeño peppers, sliced
  • 1/2 red onion, sliced
  • Lettuce leaves
  • 4 tomato slices
  • 2 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp ketchup

Instructions

  1. Start by seasoning the ground beef with salt and pepper, allowing the spices to infuse the meat. Gently shape the seasoned beef into four equally sized patties, making a slight indentation in the center of each to ensure even cooking.
  2. Preheat your grill or skillet over medium heat, ensuring a sizzling sound awaits your patties. Carefully place the burger patties on the grill, cooking for about 4-5 minutes on one side.
  3. As the first side sears, take this time to sauté the sliced jalapeños and red onions in a separate pan until they soften and start to caramelize.
  4. Flip the patties and cook for another 4-5 minutes on this side. In the last minute, place a slice of cheddar cheese atop each patty, allowing it to melt beautifully.
  5. While the patties finish cooking, lightly toast the burger buns on the grill or in the oven until they are golden brown.
  6. Now, it’s time to assemble the burger! Grab the bottom half of a toasted bun and layer it with crisp lettuce leaves, followed by the melty cheeseburger patty. Top it off with sautéed jalapeños and onions, a slice of juicy tomato, and a drizzle of mayonnaise and ketchup.
  7. Finally, crown your masterpiece with the top half of the bun. Serve immediately.

Notes

Make sure to use high-quality ground beef for better flavor. Don’t overcook the patties to maintain juiciness.
