Description

Sweet Buttered Corn is a delicious side dish that combines buttery goodness with the natural sweetness of corn, perfect for any gathering.


Ingredients

  • 3 cloves garlic, halved
  • Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, cubed
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 6 ears corn, husks removed and halved
  • 3 tablespoons chopped fresh chives

Instructions

  1. Combine 4 cups of water, the halved garlic, salt, and pepper in a large stockpot over medium heat.
  2. Bring the mixture to a boil.
  3. Reduce the heat and let it simmer for 10 minutes.
  4. Stir in the whole milk, cubed butter, and brown sugar.
  5. Add the halved corn ears to the pot.
  6. Return to a boil, then reduce heat and let the corn simmer until tender, about 10 minutes.
  7. Serve garnished with freshly chopped chives.

Notes
