Description

A delectable dessert featuring sun-kissed peaches and a golden cake-like crust, served warm with vanilla ice cream.


Ingredients

  • 8 medium peaches, sliced (about 8 cups)
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp lemon juice
  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • 1 cup salted butter, melted
  • A pinch of cinnamon sugar
  • Vanilla ice cream for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F and butter a 9×13 pan.
  2. Toss the sliced peaches with granulated sugar, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla extract, and lemon juice.
  3. Pour the peach mixture into the prepared pan.
  4. Evenly spread the dry cake mix over the peach filling.
  5. Pour the melted butter over the cake mix.
  6. Sprinkle a little cinnamon sugar over the top.
  7. Bake for 60 to 75 minutes, or until the top is bubbly and golden brown.
  8. Let it rest for a few minutes before serving warm with vanilla ice cream.

Notes

Use ripe peaches for the best flavor. Consider adding chopped nuts or substituting with other fruits for variations.
