- 2 ribeye steaks, 1-inch thick
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh thyme, chopped
- 1 tablespoon fresh rosemary, chopped
Instructions
- Start by removing the steaks from the refrigerator 30 minutes before cooking.
- Generously season both sides of the steaks with salt and pepper.
- Heat the olive oil in a heavy skillet over high heat until hot.
- Place the steaks in the hot skillet and cook for 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare.
- Add the butter, garlic, thyme, and rosemary to the skillet halfway through cooking.
- Remove the steaks from the skillet and let them rest for 5 minutes.
