Ingredients

  • 2 ribeye steaks, 1-inch thick
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh thyme, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon fresh rosemary, chopped

Instructions

  1. Start by removing the steaks from the refrigerator 30 minutes before cooking.
  2. Generously season both sides of the steaks with salt and pepper.
  3. Heat the olive oil in a heavy skillet over high heat until hot.
  4. Place the steaks in the hot skillet and cook for 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare.
  5. Add the butter, garlic, thyme, and rosemary to the skillet halfway through cooking.
  6. Remove the steaks from the skillet and let them rest for 5 minutes.
