Instructions
- Make the ice cream base by combining heavy cream, whole milk, granulated sugar, and salt in a saucepan, then heat gently.
- Cut the vanilla bean open and scrape the seeds into the mixture, adding the whole pod as well.
- Let it infuse for about ten minutes, then remove the pod and cool before refrigerating for at least four hours or overnight.
- Prepare the strawberry swirl by blending fresh strawberries, sugar, and lemon juice until smooth.
- Churn the chilled ice cream base in an ice cream maker according to the instructions until thick and creamy.
- Swirl in the strawberry mixture, creating a marbled effect.
- Freeze for at least four hours or until fully set before serving.
