A delightful homemade Strawberry Swirl Ice Cream that captures the essence of summer with fresh strawberries and a creamy base.

- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1 cup whole milk
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and mashed
- 2 tablespoons sugar (for the strawberry swirl)
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
Instructions
- Combine the heavy cream, whole milk, sugar, and vanilla extract in a large bowl. Stir until the sugar is completely dissolved.
- Pour the mixture into your ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer’s instructions (about 20-25 minutes).
- Place the mashed strawberries in a small saucepan over medium heat. Add 2 tablespoons of sugar and lemon juice, stirring and cooking for about 5-7 minutes until it becomes syrupy.
- Remove from heat and let it cool completely.
- Transfer the churned ice cream to an airtight container and drizzle the strawberry swirl over it. Gently swirl with a spoon or spatula.
- Freeze for at least 240 minutes or until it firms up.
- Scoop into bowls or cones and enjoy!
Notes
For best results, use ripe fresh strawberries, and consider pairing the ice cream with chocolate drizzle or crushed nuts.
