- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon almond extract (optional)
- 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons strawberry gelatin powder
- 2 tablespoons milk
- 1/2 cup strawberry jam
- 20 chocolate truffle candies
- Powdered sugar for dusting
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the egg, vanilla extract, and almond extract (if using), mixing until fully combined.
- Whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, and strawberry gelatin powder in a separate bowl.
- Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet mixture alternately with the milk, mixing until a dough forms.
- Roll the dough into tablespoon-sized balls and place them on a lined baking sheet.
- Make an indentation in the center of each cookie using your thumb.
- Fill each indentation with a small spoonful of strawberry jam.
- Place a chocolate truffle in the center of the jam.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until the edges are lightly golden.
- Remove and let cool before dusting with powdered sugar.
Notes
Use room-temperature butter for better texture and feel free to adjust the flavor of the gelatin or use different kinds of chocolate truffles.
