Description

A comforting and richly layered spinach lasagna featuring creamy ricotta, gooey mozzarella, and sharp parmesan, all embraced by tender lasagna noodles.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 9 lasagna noodles (cooked to perfection)
  • 1 1/2 cups ricotta cheese (creamy and rich)
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese (shredded for that gooey texture)
  • 1/2 cup parmesan cheese (grated for a sharp bite)
  • 4 cups fresh spinach (vibrantly green and nutritious)
  • 2 cups marinara sauce (a burst of tangy goodness)
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced for aromatic depth)
  • 2 tbsp butter (to sauté and enhance flavor)
  • Salt and pepper to taste (the essentials)
  • 1 tsp dried basil (a hint of herbal freshness)

Instructions

  1. Sauté minced garlic in butter over medium heat until fragrant.
  2. Add the chopped spinach to the skillet, cooking until it wilts (about 2-3 minutes).
  3. Prepare the cheese filling by mixing ricotta, mozzarella, and parmesan in a bowl. Season with salt, pepper, and dried basil.
  4. Spread a thin layer of marinara sauce at the bottom of your baking dish.
  5. Layer cooked lasagna noodles, followed by a generous spread of the spinach and cheese mixture and then a scoop of marinara sauce.
  6. Repeat the layers until all ingredients are used, finishing with a final layer of cheese on top.
  7. Bake in a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) for 30-35 minutes or until golden and bubbly.
  8. Let cool for a few minutes before cutting.

Notes

For added flavor, consider adding a pinch of nutmeg to the ricotta mixture or a sprinkle of red pepper flakes to the marinara sauce.
