Description
A comforting and richly layered spinach lasagna featuring creamy ricotta, gooey mozzarella, and sharp parmesan, all embraced by tender lasagna noodles.
Ingredients
Scale
- 9 lasagna noodles (cooked to perfection)
- 1 1/2 cups ricotta cheese (creamy and rich)
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese (shredded for that gooey texture)
- 1/2 cup parmesan cheese (grated for a sharp bite)
- 4 cups fresh spinach (vibrantly green and nutritious)
- 2 cups marinara sauce (a burst of tangy goodness)
- 2 cloves garlic (minced for aromatic depth)
- 2 tbsp butter (to sauté and enhance flavor)
- Salt and pepper to taste (the essentials)
- 1 tsp dried basil (a hint of herbal freshness)
Instructions
- Sauté minced garlic in butter over medium heat until fragrant.
- Add the chopped spinach to the skillet, cooking until it wilts (about 2-3 minutes).
- Prepare the cheese filling by mixing ricotta, mozzarella, and parmesan in a bowl. Season with salt, pepper, and dried basil.
- Spread a thin layer of marinara sauce at the bottom of your baking dish.
- Layer cooked lasagna noodles, followed by a generous spread of the spinach and cheese mixture and then a scoop of marinara sauce.
- Repeat the layers until all ingredients are used, finishing with a final layer of cheese on top.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) for 30-35 minutes or until golden and bubbly.
- Let cool for a few minutes before cutting.
Notes
For added flavor, consider adding a pinch of nutmeg to the ricotta mixture or a sprinkle of red pepper flakes to the marinara sauce.
