Instructions
- Beat together the beer, flour, egg, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until smooth.
- Add the cod fillets to the batter, stirring carefully until well coated.
- Mix the cornflake crumbs with the Cajun seasoning in a separate bowl.
- Dip each battered cod fillet into the cornflake mixture, ensuring thorough coverage.
- Heat oil in a large skillet or deep fryer to 365°F (185°C).
- Place the coated cod fillets in the hot oil, frying until golden brown, about 4-5 minutes per side.
- Remove the fish and drain on a paper towel-lined plate.
Notes
