Ingredients

- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 2 large eggs (room temperature)
- 1/2 cup pure maple syrup
- 1/2 cup milk (whole or non-dairy)
- 1/4 cup melted butter (cooled)
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2 tbsp milk
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C) and grease a baking pan.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
- In a separate bowl, beat the eggs and mix in the maple syrup, milk, and melted butter.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture and stir until just combined.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Once cooled, whisk together powdered sugar and milk to create a glaze and drizzle over the bars.
Notes
Optional: add a pinch of nutmeg or fold in nuts/chocolate chips for extra flavor. Serve with coffee or tea!
