- 3/4 cup packed light or dark brown sugar
- 1 large egg, at room temperature
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup graham cracker crumbs
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 heaping cup marshmallow crème
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (177°C) and line an 8-inch square baking pan with parchment paper.
- Cream together the butter and brown sugar in a mixing bowl for 2-3 minutes until smooth.
- Blend in the egg and vanilla extract until fully incorporated.
- In a separate bowl, whisk flour, graham cracker crumbs, baking powder, and salt; gradually mix into the wet ingredients.
- Fold in chocolate chips evenly.
- Press half of the cookie dough into the prepared pan, spread marshmallow crème, and drop spoonfuls of the remaining dough on top.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until edges are lightly browned and the center is set.
- Allow bars to cool completely before lifting out and cutting into squares.
Notes
Drizzle with melted chocolate for extra indulgence, or sprinkle crushed graham crackers for added texture.
