- 1 (24 oz) jar marinara sauce
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh basil for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Layer the marinara sauce into the slow cooker.
- Follow with the heavy cream and swirl together.
- Sprinkle in the Italian seasoning and garlic powder.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Gently mix until well combined.
- Add the cheese tortellini and stir to coat.
- Cover and cook on low for about 4 hours.
- In the last 15 minutes, add the mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
- Stir until melted and creamy.
- Serve hot, garnished with fresh basil if desired.
Notes
Be cautious with cooking time to avoid mushy tortellini. Use whole wheat or gluten-free tortellini for a healthier version.
