- 1 lb thinly sliced beef steak
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 onion, sliced
- 1 green bell pepper, sliced
- 1 red or yellow bell pepper, sliced
- 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- Salt & pepper to taste
- 4 hoagie rolls
- 4 slices provolone cheese
Instructions
- Drizzle olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the sliced onions and bell peppers to the skillet. Let them sauté for 5-7 minutes until soft and slightly caramelized. Remove and set aside.
- Increase the heat and add the thinly sliced beef steak. Cook for 3-4 minutes until browned. Stir in Worcestershire sauce and garlic powder. Season with salt and pepper.
- Split the hoagie rolls down the center and place on a baking sheet. Layer provolone cheese, followed by steak, and then sautéed peppers and onions.
- Broil the hoagies for 1-2 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Serve immediately and enjoy!
Notes
For the best results, avoid overcooking the beef and keep an eye on the cheese while broiling.
