Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare two 8-inch round cake pans by greasing and dusting them with flour.
- Combine the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt in a medium bowl.
- Cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Integrate the eggs one by one, then add the vanilla extract and blend until smooth.
- Gradually include the dry ingredients alternately with the milk, mixing well. Add pink food coloring until you reach your desired shade.
- Divide the batter evenly between the prepared pans and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let the cakes cool completely in the pans before transferring them to a wire rack.
- Whip the frosting by beating softened unsalted butter, then gradually add powdered sugar, vanilla, and heavy cream, finishing with pink food coloring.
- Assemble the cake by frosting between layers, then frost the outside evenly.
- Heat the heavy cream until warm, pour over the white chocolate chips, stir until smooth, and add pink food coloring.
- Drizzle the melted pink chocolate over the top, allowing it to cascade down the sides.
