Description

A comforting dish that blends the flavors of classic Philly cheesesteaks with sloppy joes, perfect for weeknight dinners and gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 1 medium green bell pepper, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 cup provolone cheese, shredded
  • 4 hamburger buns

Instructions

  1. Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add the ground beef.
  2. Cook until browned, about 7 minutes, then drain excess fat.
  3. Add diced onion and green bell pepper; sauté for about 5 minutes.
  4. Stir in minced garlic and cook until fragrant.
  5. Pour in Worcestershire sauce and soy sauce, followed by salt and black pepper.
  6. Add the beef broth and let the mixture simmer for about 10 minutes.
  7. Mix in shredded provolone until melted.
  8. Spoon the mixture onto warmed hamburger buns and serve.

Notes

For a healthier option, substitute ground beef with turkey or chicken. Toast buns for added crunch.
