Description

This Pepperoni and Ricotta Pizza offers a delightful combination of savory pepperoni and creamy ricotta cheese, perfect for family gatherings or busy weeknight dinners.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon instant yeast
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup warm water (about 110°F)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1/4 cup hot honey
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup sliced pepperoni
  • 1/2 cup sliced black olives
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves
  • Extra olive oil for drizzling

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Dough: In a large bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, instant yeast, and salt. Gradually pour in the warm water and olive oil while stirring until a rough dough forms.
  2. Knead the Dough: Transfer to a floured surface and knead for 5-7 minutes until smooth. Place in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise for 1 hour.
  3. Preheat the Oven: Set your oven to 475°F (245°C) and place a pizza stone inside if using.
  4. Roll Out the Dough: Punch down the risen dough, roll it into a 12-inch circle on a floured surface.
  5. Assemble the Pizza: Spread ricotta over the dough, drizzle with hot honey, sprinkle mozzarella, and arrange pepperoni and olives.
  6. Bake It: Slide the pizza into the preheated oven and bake for 12-15 minutes until crust is golden and cheese is bubbling.
  7. Finish and Serve: Top with fresh basil, drizzle with olive oil, slice, and serve hot.

Notes

For a crisper crust, pre-bake the crust for 5 minutes before adding toppings. Experiment with different cheese varieties for unique flavors.
