Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Combine peanut butter, granulated sugar, egg, vanilla extract, baking soda, and salt in a large mixing bowl.
- Stir the mixture vigorously until thick and well combined.
- Roll tablespoon-sized portions of dough into balls and place them 2 inches apart on the baking sheet.
- Press each ball gently with a fork to create a crisscross pattern.
- Bake for about 10-12 minutes or until edges are lightly golden brown.
- Allow them to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes.
- Melt the caramel candies with 1 tablespoon of milk in a microwave-safe bowl, heating in 30-second intervals until smooth.
- Drizzle the melted caramel over the cooled cookies and sprinkle with sea salt if desired.
- Let the caramel set before serving.
