Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a muffin tin with colorful cupcake liners.
- Whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt in a large mixing bowl.
- Cream the softened butter and granulated sugar together until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the eggs, one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract.
- Gradually blend in the dry ingredients alternating with the milk until smooth.
- Divide the batter evenly into the cupcake liners.
- Bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool the cupcakes completely on a wire rack.
- Beat the butter for frosting until smooth and creamy, then gradually add the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract.
- Color the frosting with gel food coloring.
- Frost the cooled cupcakes generously with the pastel-colored frosting using a star tip.
