  • 34 cups powdered sugar
  • 23 tbsp milk (for frosting)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract (for frosting)
  • Gel food coloring in pastel hues

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a muffin tin with colorful cupcake liners.
  2. Whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt in a large mixing bowl.
  3. Cream the softened butter and granulated sugar together until light and fluffy.
  4. Beat in the eggs, one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract.
  5. Gradually blend in the dry ingredients alternating with the milk until smooth.
  6. Divide the batter evenly into the cupcake liners.
  7. Bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Cool the cupcakes completely on a wire rack.
  9. Beat the butter for frosting until smooth and creamy, then gradually add the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract.
  10. Color the frosting with gel food coloring.
  11. Frost the cooled cupcakes generously with the pastel-colored frosting using a star tip.
