Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup unsalted butter, at room temperature
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 egg
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup white vinegar

Instructions
- Cream together the softened unsalted butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.

- Gradually add the all-purpose flour, salt, and white vinegar. Stir until a dough forms.

- Place the cut-out cookies on a parchment-lined baking sheet and bake for 8-10 minutes.
- Allow the cookies to cool completely on a wire rack before decorating.
- For the icing, combine icing sugar, meringue powder, and water in a clean bowl, beating until smooth and glossy.
- Once cookies are cooled, frost them with the pink icing and let dry completely.
