Description

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 3/4 cup warm water
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 cup feta cheese, crumbled
  • 1/4 cup fresh mint, chopped
  • 1 tbsp lemon zest
  • 1 tbsp olive oil (for brushing)
  • Fresh parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Combine the all-purpose flour, salt, and baking powder in a large mixing bowl.
  2. Pour in the warm water and olive oil, mixing until a dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  4. Cover with a kitchen towel and let it rest for 30 minutes.
  5. Combine the feta cheese, chopped mint, and lemon zest in a separate bowl to make the filling.
  6. Roll rested dough into small balls and then into 6-inch circles.
  7. Place a spoonful of filling in the center of each circle.
  8. Fold the dough over the filling and pinch the edges to seal.
  9. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and add olive oil.
  10. Cook the stuffed flatbreads for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  11. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
