Description

Crispy fries drizzled with a zesty voodoo sauce, combining Cajun spices and creamy flavors for a tantalizing treat.


Ingredients

  • 4 large russet potatoes, cut into thick fries
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 2 teaspoons of Cajun seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon of garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon of paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1 tablespoon of fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1/2 cup of mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons of ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon of hot sauce
  • 1 teaspoon of Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon of lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon of smoked paprika
  • 1 clove of garlic, minced
  • 1/4 teaspoon of cayenne pepper (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Wash and peel the russet potatoes if desired, and cut them into thick fries.
  3. Pat the cut fries dry with a paper towel.
  4. Toss the fries with olive oil in a large mixing bowl.
  5. Add Cajun seasoning, garlic powder, paprika, black pepper, and salt to the bowl.
  6. Mix thoroughly to coat the fries evenly.
  7. Spread the seasoned fries on a baking sheet in a single layer.
  8. Bake for 30-35 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  9. Combine mayonnaise, ketchup, hot sauce, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, smoked paprika, minced garlic, and cayenne pepper in a mixing bowl for the voodoo sauce.
  10. Whisk until smooth.
  11. Remove fries from the oven when golden and crispy.
  12. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve with voodoo sauce.

Notes

For extra crispiness, consider soaking the fries in water for 30 minutes before cooking.
