Instructions

- Stir in the vanilla extract and lemon zest.
- Gradually add the dry flour mixture to the wet ingredients, alternating with milk and lemon juice, mixing until just combined.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan, smoothing the top with a spatula.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Let the cake cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
