Description

A delightful fusion of spicy sausages, succulent shrimp, and comforting ramen noodles in a rich, creamy broth.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1214 medium shrimp, juicy and tender
  • 2 jalapeño cheddar sausages, sliced
  • 2 soft-boiled eggs, halved
  • 1 fresh jalapeño, sliced
  • 2 tbsp green onions, chopped
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp Cajun seasoning
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp chili powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • ¼ cup red bell pepper, diced
  • 3 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup milk or half & half
  • ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 tbsp cream cheese
  • 1 tsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp chili oil (optional)
  • 1 ramen noodle block (or 2 for larger portions)

Instructions

  1. Start by seasoning the shrimp with paprika, Cajun seasoning, garlic powder, chili powder, salt, and pepper.
  2. Heat the oil in a skillet over medium-high heat, then place the seasoned shrimp in and sear for about 2 minutes on each side.
  3. Remove the shrimp from the skillet and set them aside.
  4. Add the sliced sausages to the same skillet and brown them until cooked through.
  5. Melt the butter in a large pot, then add minced garlic, diced onion, and red bell pepper; sauté until fragrant.
  6. Pour in the chicken broth and soy sauce, and bring to a gentle simmer.
  7. Stir in the milk, cream cheese, and shredded cheddar cheese, allowing them to melt and blend into a creamy broth.
  8. Add the ramen noodles and cook according to package instructions.
  9. Return the shrimp and sausage to the pot, mixing everything together.
  10. Ladle the ramen into bowls and top with soft-boiled eggs, sliced jalapeños, and green onions.

Notes

For a variation, you can use different sausages or proteins. Consider adding fresh herbs as a garnish.
