Description
A delightful homemade pistachio spread enriched with white chocolate and a hint of salt, perfect for toast, pancakes, or straight off a spoon.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup unsalted shelled pistachios
- ¾ cup white chocolate chips
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- 1½ tablespoons oil (optional)
- â…“ cup water
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Spread the shelled pistachios evenly on a baking sheet and roast them for about 6 minutes, until they are warm and fragrant. Allow them to cool.
- Add the roasted pistachios to a food processor and blend for 2–3 minutes until a coarse paste forms. The natural oils will start to release, contributing to a rich texture.
- Add the white chocolate chips, sugar, salt, and water to the pistachio paste. Blend everything together until smooth, creating a luxurious spread.
- Optionally, drizzle in the oil while continuing to blend for a creamier texture. Adjust according to your personal texture preference.
- Transfer the spread to an airtight container and refrigerate. The flavors will deepen as it chills, making it even more delightful when you dig in!
Notes
Consider adding a splash of vanilla extract or experimenting with different nuts for a mixed nut spread. Also, adjust the sugar based on your sweetness preference.
