A rich and creamy butter pecan ice cream featuring toasted pecans and a buttery base, perfect for warm days and family gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 3/4 cup white sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup roasted pecans
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter

Instructions

  1. Begin by melting the unsalted butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat.
  2. Once the butter is melted, add the brown sugar and stir until it bubbles.
  3. Next, toss in the roasted pecans and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the heavy cream, whole milk, white sugar, and vanilla extract.
  5. Gently fold in the cooled pecan mixture into the cream blend.
  6. Pour the mixture into your ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
  7. Transfer the ice cream into an airtight container and freeze for at least 4 hours.
  8. Finally, scoop and serve in bowls or cones.

Notes

For best results, chill your mixing bowl and ice cream maker bowl in advance. Consider adding caramel sauce, sea salt, or whipped cream as toppings.
