Description
A delightful Hibachi Chicken dish featuring tender chicken pieces seared and tossed in a savory soy and teriyaki glaze, perfect for family dinners.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb. boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 teaspoon garlic, minced
- 1/4 teaspoon sesame oil (optional)
- 1 1/2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 1/2 tablespoons teriyaki sauce/mirin
- Pepper to taste
Instructions
- Combine the Sauce: In a small bowl, mix the soy sauce and teriyaki sauce (or mirin) together with the sesame oil (if using). Set this aside.
- Sauté the Garlic: In a large skillet over medium-high heat, melt the butter. Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, approximately half a minute.
- Cook the Chicken: Add the chicken pieces to the skillet, tossing to combine with the garlic and butter. Stir for a couple of minutes until the chicken starts to brown.
- Pour in the Sauce: Carefully pour the prepared sauce over the chicken, stirring to coat it evenly.
- Stir-Fry to Perfection: Continue to cook and fry the chicken for 5 minutes or until it is cooked through and the sauce has thickened.
- Finish and Serve: If desired, drizzle sesame oil on top before serving.
Notes
Consider marinating the chicken for added flavor and adding your favorite vegetables during the stir-fry process.
