Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 teaspoon garlic, minced
  • 1/4 teaspoon sesame oil (optional)
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons teriyaki sauce/mirin
  • Pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Combine the Sauce: In a small bowl, mix the soy sauce and teriyaki sauce (or mirin) together with the sesame oil (if using). Set this aside.
  2. Sauté the Garlic: In a large skillet over medium-high heat, melt the butter. Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, approximately half a minute.
  3. Cook the Chicken: Add the chicken pieces to the skillet, tossing to combine with the garlic and butter. Stir for a couple of minutes until the chicken starts to brown.
  4. Pour in the Sauce: Carefully pour the prepared sauce over the chicken, stirring to coat it evenly.
  5. Stir-Fry to Perfection: Continue to cook and fry the chicken for 5 minutes or until it is cooked through and the sauce has thickened.
  6. Finish and Serve: If desired, drizzle sesame oil on top before serving.
