- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/4 cup onion, finely chopped
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/8 teaspoon pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 egg
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 4 tablespoons butter (for the sauce)
- 3 tablespoons flour
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

Instructions
- Combine the ground beef, panko bread crumbs, chopped parsley, allspice, nutmeg, onion, garlic powder, pepper, salt, and egg in a medium-sized bowl.
- Roll the mixture into either 12 large meatballs or 20 smaller ones, based on your preference.

- Cook the meatballs, turning frequently, until brown on each side and fully cooked. Transfer to a plate and cover with foil to keep warm.
- Add 4 tablespoons of butter and flour to the same skillet, whisk until a brown roux forms.
- Whisk in the beef broth and heavy cream until smooth.
- Stir in the Worcestershire sauce and Dijon mustard, and bring to a simmer until the sauce thickens.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Return the meatballs to the skillet to simmer in the sauce for 1-2 minutes.
- Serve the meatballs over egg noodles or fluffy rice.
Notes
For a fresher flavor, use day-old bread for crumbs; substitute homemade stock for half of the beef broth for a richer sauce.
