  • 2 Tbsp unsalted butter, divided

Instructions

  1. Prepare the dry ingredients: Sift together flour, baking powder, and salt in a large mixing bowl.
  2. Mix the wet ingredients: In another bowl, whisk together sugar, whole milk, egg, and melted butter until combined.
  3. Combine the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients, stirring gently until just mixed.
  4. Add chocolate chips by folding them into the batter carefully.
  5. Heat a skillet over medium heat, adding 1 tablespoon of butter and 1 teaspoon of canola oil.
  6. Cook the pancakes: Pour 1/4 cup of batter for each pancake, cooking until bubbles form (2-3 minutes) before flipping.
  7. Serve warm, topped with extra butter or syrup.
