Description

Dive into layers of creamy chocolate bliss with this Heavenly Chocolate Cheesecake Trifle, combining chocolate cake, cheesecake, and chocolate pudding for a rich dessert experience.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 package chocolate cake, baked and crumbled
  • 1 package cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 container whipped topping (Cool Whip), thawed
  • 2 cups chocolate pudding
  • 1 cup chocolate sauce or ganache
  • Chocolate truffles or balls, for garnish
  • Chocolate shavings, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Prepare the chocolate cake by baking it according to the package instructions. Once baked, allow it to cool completely before crumbling it into small pieces.
  2. Make the cheesecake layer by beating the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract together until smooth.
  3. Fold in the thawed whipped topping into the cream cheese mixture until well combined.
  4. Create the first layer of the trifle by placing the crumbled chocolate cake at the bottom of a trifle dish.
  5. Spread a layer of the cheesecake mixture on top of the crumbled cake.
  6. Add a layer of chocolate pudding over the cheesecake mixture.
  7. Repeat the layers of crumbled cake, cheesecake mixture, and chocolate pudding until all ingredients are used, finishing with the cheesecake mixture on top.
  8. Drizzle chocolate sauce or ganache over the top layer.
  9. Garnish with chocolate truffles or balls and sprinkle with chocolate shavings.
  10. Refrigerate the trifle for at least 2 hours before serving to allow flavors to meld.

Notes

For best results, make the trifle a day ahead. Use softened cream cheese to avoid lumps. Ensure layers are even for a beautiful presentation.
