- 1 cup light brown sugar, packed
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup Valentine’s-themed sprinkles or M&Ms
- For the frosting:
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, softened
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2–3 tablespoons heavy cream (or milk)
- Red or pink food coloring (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Beat together the softened butter, light brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla extract.
- Whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt in a separate bowl. Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture.
- Fold in the chocolate chips and Valentine’s-themed sprinkles or M&Ms.
- Line a heart-shaped pan with parchment paper; evenly spread the cookie dough in the pan.
- Bake for 18-22 minutes, until golden around the edges.
- Cool the cookie cake in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
- Beat together the frosting ingredients until smooth and creamy.
- Frost the cake once cooled and decorate as desired.
- Slice and serve.
Notes
For extra flavor, consider adding a dash of almond extract to the frosting.
