Description

A thrilling twist on classic burgers featuring juicy beef patties paired with crispy, caramelized onion rings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef (80/20)
  • 2 large onions, sliced into thick rings
  • 4 slices of cheese (American, Swiss, or your favorite variety)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional condiments (mustard, ketchup)
  • Olive oil or cooking spray for grilling

Instructions

  1. Preheat your grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Coat it lightly with olive oil or cooking spray.
  2. Slice the onions into thick rings, about ½ inch thick.
  3. Season the ground beef with salt and pepper. Form the beef into patties that are slightly larger than the onion rings.
  4. Grill the onion rings for 5-7 minutes, turning occasionally until caramelized and tender.
  5. Grill the beef patties for about 4-5 minutes on one side. Flip, add cheese, and cook until melted.
  6. Assemble the burgers by layering an onion ring, a beef patty, and another onion ring.
  7. Serve hot with your choice of condiments.

Notes

Soak onion rings in cold water for 30 minutes before grilling to enhance sweetness and prevent burning.
