Description

An elevated version of a classic favorite, Fryer Grilled Cheese Hot Dogs combine melted cheese and grilled hot dogs for a delightful meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 soft hot dog buns
  • 4 juicy hot dogs
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup softened butter
  • 2 slices of bread
  • Optional: 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Optional: 1/4 teaspoon paprika

Instructions

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Butter the outsides of the bread slices.
  3. Sprinkle garlic powder and paprika on the buttered surfaces (if using).
  4. Place a handful of shredded cheddar cheese between the buttered bread slices.
  5. Wrap each hot dog with a cheesy sandwich made from the buttered bread.
  6. Carefully place the wrapped hot dogs in the air fryer basket.
  7. Cook for 5-7 minutes until golden brown and cheese is melted.
  8. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauces.

Notes

For added flavor, experiment with different cheeses and toppings like jalapeños or smoked paprika. These hot dogs can also be made healthier by using turkey dogs or whole-grain buns.
