Ingredients
Scale
- 2 packs instant ramen noodles (discard seasoning packet)
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp oyster sauce
- 1 tbsp hoisin sauce
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tbsp rice vinegar
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp ginger, minced
- 1/2 cup chicken broth or water
- 1 tbsp cornstarch (optional)
- 1/2 tbsp chili paste or sriracha (optional)
- 1 tbsp green onions, chopped (for garnish)
- 1 tsp sesame seeds (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Start by cooking the ramen noodles according to the package instructions. Once they’re al dente, drain them and set them aside.
- In a medium bowl, combine the soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, sesame oil, brown sugar, rice vinegar, minced garlic, and minced ginger. Mix well until fully combined.
- Pour the chicken broth (or water) into a small saucepan and bring it to a simmer over medium heat. Add in the sauce mixture and stir to combine. Let it bubble gently for about 3-4 minutes.
- If you prefer a thicker sauce, dissolve the cornstarch in 2 tablespoons of water. Add it to the simmering sauce and stir well. Continue to simmer until thickened.
- Add the cooked ramen noodles to the saucepan with the sauce. Toss gently to coat evenly. Stir in chili paste or sriracha if desired.
- Once coated, remove the saucepan from heat. Serve in bowls and garnish with green onions and sesame seeds if using.
