- 4 medium potatoes, sliced thin

- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 1 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder

Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Heat a skillet over medium heat, adding the ground beef and chopped onions.
- Sizzle them together until the beef is browned and fully cooked, draining any excess fat.
- Mix the cream of mushroom soup with a cup of milk, garlic powder, salt, and pepper in a large bowl.
- Layer half of the sliced potatoes in a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Top with half of the beef mixture and half of the cheddar cheese.
- Repeat the layering process with the remaining potatoes, beef, and cheese.
- Pour the creamy soup mixture over the top.
- Cover loosely with foil and bake for an hour.
- Remove the foil and bake uncovered for an additional 15-20 minutes until bubbling and golden.
Notes
For a lighter version, use lean ground turkey or chicken and consider adding vegetables like spinach or broccoli.
