Description

Delightful Dove Sugar Cookies with a soft, tender texture and subtle notes of vanilla and almond.


Ingredients

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Whisk together the flour, baking soda, and baking powder in a bowl.
  3. Cream the softened butter and granulated sugar together until smooth and fluffy.
  4. Add the egg, vanilla extract, and almond extract, if using, to the butter mixture.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until combined.
  6. Roll the dough into small balls, optionally rolling them in colored sugar.
  7. Place the dough balls on the baking sheet, spacing them apart, and gently press each ball with a fork.
  8. Bake for 8-10 minutes until the edges are light golden brown, then cool on a wire rack.
