Description

A delightful chocolate cake with creamy filling and decadent icing, perfect for gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 1 box of rich, chocolate cake mix
  • 1 block of cream cheese, softened
  • 3 cups of powdered sugar
  • 1 stick of margarine
  • 1 container of light and airy Cool Whip
  • 1 can of chocolate icing
  • 2 tablespoons of milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven according to the instructions on the cake mix box.
  2. Prepare the chocolate cake mix per the package instructions.
  3. Pour the batter into a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
  4. Bake the cake until set, then remove it and let it cool completely in the pan.
  5. Beat together the softened cream cheese and margarine in a large mixing bowl until smooth.
  6. Gradually add powdered sugar and mix until combined.
  7. Fold in the Cool Whip and milk until fully blended.
  8. Cut the cooled cake into squares and half each square horizontally.
  9. Spread the cream filling between the layers generously.
  10. Top each filled layer with the cake tops.
  11. Spread the chocolate icing over the tops.
  12. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving.
