Delightful cupcakes combining the classic flavors of chocolate, vanilla, and strawberry in one indulgent treat.

- 1 3⁄4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 1⁄2 tsp baking powder

- 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup hot water
- For the strawberry cream filling:
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 tbsp powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup pureed strawberries
- For the vanilla cream filling:
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 tbsp powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- For the chocolate ganache topping:
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 4 oz semisweet chocolate chips
- Optional garnish: Sprinkles, Fresh strawberries
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a muffin tin with cupcake liners.
- Whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cocoa powder until well combined.
- Whisk the eggs, buttermilk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Combine the wet and dry ingredients, mixing until the texture is uniform.
- Pour in the hot water while stirring gently.
- Divide the batter among the cupcake liners, filling each about two-thirds full.
- Bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Beat the heavy cream with powdered sugar and vanilla for the strawberry filling until stiff peaks form, then fold in the pureed strawberries.
- Beat the heavy cream with powdered sugar and vanilla for the vanilla filling until stiff peaks form.
- Cut a hole in the center of each cupcake and fill them with the strawberry and vanilla cream fillings alternatively.
- Heat the heavy cream for the ganache until simmering, then stir in the chocolate chips until smooth.
- Spoon the ganache over each filled cupcake.
- Decorate with sprinkles or fresh strawberries if desired.
- Serve and enjoy!
Notes
Use room-temperature ingredients for better mixing. Cupcake bases can be made in advance and stored in an airtight container.
