Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Prepare an 8×8-inch baking pan by greasing it or lining it with parchment paper.
- Melt the unsalted butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat.
- Stir in the granulated sugar until dissolved, then remove from heat.
- Whisk in the eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract and Dr. Pepper soda.
- Sift together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt in a separate bowl.
- Fold the dry mixture into the wet ingredients until combined.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes, checking for doneness with a toothpick.
- Cool the brownies completely in the pan.
- Prepare the glaze by combining the remaining Dr. Pepper soda, butter, and cocoa powder in a small saucepan over medium heat.
- Whisk in the powdered sugar and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Pour the glaze over the cooled brownies and allow it to set before cutting into squares.
Notes
