Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • 2 cups breadcrumbs
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Vegetable oil for frying
  • Marinara sauce for serving

Instructions

  1. Begin by cutting the mozzarella cheese sticks in half.
  2. Set up a breading station with flour, beaten eggs, and a mixture of breadcrumbs, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning.
  3. Take each cheese stick and dip it into the flour, then the egg, and finally coat it with the seasoned breadcrumbs.
  4. Place all sticks on a tray and freeze for at least 30 minutes.
  5. Heat vegetable oil in a deep frying pan over medium heat.
  6. Fry the mozzarella sticks in batches until golden brown, about 1-2 minutes on each side.
  7. Remove from oil and drain on paper towels.
  8. Serve warm with marinara sauce on the side.
