- 1/2 cup heavy cream

- 1/4 cup brown sugar (for topping)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a donut pan.
- Whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl.
- Mix wet ingredients: milk, eggs, melted butter, vanilla, and optional almond extract in a separate bowl.
- Combine the wet mixture into the dry ingredients gently.
- Spoon the batter into the prepared pan, filling each cavity about three-quarters full.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool donuts for a few minutes before removing from the pan.
- Heat heavy cream, sugar, and vanilla in a saucepan until sugar dissolves.
- Whisk in the butter until the glaze is smooth, then dip each donut in the glaze.
- Sprinkle brown sugar on top of the donuts.
- Caramelize the sugar with a kitchen torch until golden and crispy.
- Serve immediately and enjoy!
