- 1/4 tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs (for topping)
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cook the tortellini according to package instructions until tender but slightly firm. Drain and set aside.
- Melt 2 tablespoons of butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Pour in the heavy cream, bringing it to a gentle simmer.
- Add the shredded mozzarella and grated Parmesan, stirring until melted and smooth.
- Season the sauce with Italian seasoning, salt, pepper, and optional crushed red pepper flakes.
- Simmer for an additional 3-4 minutes until the sauce thickens.
- Combine the cooked tortellini with the creamy sauce, mixing gently.
- Transfer the mixture to a greased 9×13-inch baking dish and sprinkle breadcrumbs and extra mozzarella on top.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until bubbly and golden.
- Garnish with chopped parsley and serve hot.
