Description

Delightful jumbo pasta shells filled with a creamy ricotta and savory ground beef mixture, baked to perfection.


Ingredients

  • 12 jumbo pasta shells
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh basil for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook the jumbo pasta shells according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  3. Brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat for 5-7 minutes.
  4. Stir in the minced garlic and Italian seasoning; cook for an additional 2 minutes.
  5. Season the mixture with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Combine ricotta cheese, half of the mozzarella, Parmesan cheese, and egg in a bowl; mix until creamy.
  7. Fold in the cooked beef mixture.
  8. Spread 1 cup of marinara sauce on the bottom of a baking dish.
  9. Stuff each pasta shell with the ricotta-beef mixture and place them snugly in the dish.
  10. Pour the remaining marinara sauce over the stuffed shells and sprinkle with remaining mozzarella cheese.
  11. Cover the dish with foil and bake for 25 minutes.
  12. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes until cheese is bubbly and golden.
  13. Garnish with fresh basil before serving.

Notes

Feel free to add extra cheese or red pepper flakes for a twist in flavor.
