Description

Delight in the flavors of these tender, buttery cookies infused with the zest of orange and tart dried cranberries, perfect for sharing during the holidays.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup cornstarch
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • Zest of 1 orange
  • 1/2 cup dried cranberries, chopped
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Whisk together the flour, cornstarch, and salt in a large bowl.
  3. Beat the softened butter and powdered sugar in a separate bowl until smooth and creamy, then stir in the orange zest and vanilla extract.
  4. Gradually add the flour mixture to the butter mixture, mixing until combined, then fold in the dried cranberries.
  5. Roll the dough into 1-inch balls and place them on the prepared baking sheet, pressing down gently with a fork.
  6. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden, then let cool before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

Make sure your butter is at room temperature for a lighter texture. Chill the dough before baking to prevent spreading.
