- 1 baguette, fresh and crusty
- Olive oil, for that perfect drizzle
- 1/2 cup sour cream or plain Greek yogurt
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 4 ounces smoked provolone cheese
- A dash of cayenne pepper
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Slice the baguette into 1/4 to 1/2 inch slices and lay them on a baking sheet.
- Drizzle them with olive oil and bake for 5 minutes, then flip and bake for an additional 3 minutes.
- Increase the oven temperature to 400°F (200°C).
- Combine sour cream, mozzarella, Parmesan, thyme, red pepper flakes, and cayenne in a medium bowl.
- Spread the cheese mixture in a small baking dish and layer smoked provolone on top.
- Bake for about 10 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbling.
- Broil for about 1 minute until cheese is golden and bubbly.
- Remove from the oven and serve immediately with toasted baguette slices.
