- 1 batch homemade French fries (or a 28 oz. bag of frozen fries)
- 6 oz. cheese curds (or cubed mozzarella cheese)
- 1 batch homemade brown gravy (or use a packet for convenience)
- Vegetable oil for frying
Instructions
- Prepare the French Fries by cutting the potatoes into thick strips and soaking them in water for at least 30 minutes. Preheat oil to 300°F for frozen fries and fry until just cooked through. Increase temperature to 400°F and fry until crispy and golden brown.
- Add the cheese and bake. Preheat the oven to 350°F, spread fries on a baking sheet, sprinkle cheese curds on top, and bake for 10-15 minutes.
- Prepare the gravy using your favorite recipe or a packet for convenience.
- Assemble the dish by drizzling hot gravy over the fries and melted cheese. Serve immediately.
Notes
For extra crispy fries, consider double frying. Experiment with different cheeses or toppings for a unique twist.
