- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Combine the melted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth and creamy.
- Crack in the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Add the vanilla extract and mix until incorporated.
- Whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder in a separate bowl.
- Combine the dry mixture with the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips gently.
- Drop rounded balls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving space for spreading.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are set and centers are gooey.
- Cool on the baking sheet briefly before transferring to a wire rack and dusting with powdered sugar.
Notes
For a healthier version, substitute half the butter with unsweetened applesauce or use whole wheat flour.
