Description

A delightful sandwich merging garlic bread with cheesy grilled chicken, perfect for any meal.


Ingredients

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 4 slices of thick-cut garlic bread
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (optional)
  • 1 tbsp butter (for grilling)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the grill or skillet.
  2. Season chicken breasts with olive oil, salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
  3. Grill the chicken for approximately 6-7 minutes on each side.
  4. Let the chicken rest for a few minutes before slicing it into thin strips.
  5. Combine mayonnaise and Dijon mustard; set aside.
  6. Butter one side of each slice of garlic bread.
  7. Toast the bread on the skillet until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  8. Spread the mayo-mustard mixture on the unbuttered sides of the bread.
  9. Add chicken slices to one slice, sprinkle with mozzarella cheese, and close with the second slice of bread.
  10. Grill the sandwich for 2-3 minutes until cheese melts and bread crisps up.
  11. Slice the sandwich in half, sprinkle with parsley if desired, and serve warm!

Notes

For extra flavor, marinate the chicken or add jalapeños for a spicy kick.
